Our aim is to create visionary and ambitious projects which transcend boundaries and produce a uniquely intense and personal connection between the audience, artists, site and performance. Our work is created by teams of artists from a wide variety of different disciplines working in close collaboration. We explore new forms of theatre and performance, taking our audiences on unexpected journeys, engaging them intellectually and emotionally, and confounding expectations. We seek out experts from all walks of life to inform, challenge and inspire our work.

wilson+wilson has developed a unique research and development process based on a meaningful and powerful connection between place, people and theatre. A small team of resident artists are resident on site, sometimes for months at a time, whilst engaging in a process of meticulous research and imaginative project development, immersing themselves in the unique atmosphere and character of the site. This process involves working with and alongside many members of the local community and other experts from many different fields. Our work goes far beyond obvious first impressions as we spend time in a place and begin to understand its true richness, its complexities and contradictions.
